SSC JE Section wise preparation tips
Staff Selection
Commission conducts Junior Engineer (JE) exams, the notification has been
released for the recruitment of JE. Most of the young engineers who aspire to
serve in the public sector as Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Branch apply for
this position. The aspirants who apply for this position must be aware of the
syllabus as well exam pattern to start their preparations. The exam is
conducted in two phases beginning with paper 1 which is conducted online, and
the paper 2 is descriptive paper which will be based on your engineering
discipline. You must crack the paper 1 exam to get shortlisted and appear for
paper 2. This article will cover the SSC JE preparation tips.
SSC JE Paper 1 Exam:
The paper 1 consists of 200 multiple choice
type of questions. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect
answer.

The first 2 subjects are compulsory for
all. The candidates who opted to appear for the post of JE Civil, JE (Quality
Surveying and Contract) should attempt Part A (Civil & Structural) and the
candidates appeared for the post of SSC JE should attempt part B and the
candidates who opted to appear for the post of JE Mechanical should attempt
Part C.

1 For this section, you must
think, logically and rationally.
You will see questions on blood
relations, some quick calculations and power to think. The only answer is to
practice more and more during the preparation. Always, give room for
self-assessment.

rather than the world history.

the newspapers, watch national news channels. These days, you can browse the
internet and get the latest news.

Science, Indian Constitution, Geography, go through the authorized boos
published by reputed publications.
44. Solve mock test papers on a
regular basis.
Tips for Engineering Preparation:
1.The Engineering graduates must
already be aware of the syllabus. All they need to do is brush up their
knowledge. For this, make a good study plan covering all the topics from the
syllabus.

regular basis, take mock tests and see where you are lagging behind. It is also
important to target your focus areas, make a plan for such topics that need
additional practice.

you must be careful to answer only those that you are sure of.

authorized publishers, don’t use local books as they do not authenticate the
content.

papers, solve the papers.
