NIACL Assistant English preparation tips
New Insurance
Company Limited is recruiting Assistant in Scale III cadre. A total of 685
posts are vacant as per the latest NIACL recruitment 2018 . Official
notification is not released yet, however the advertisements are published. The
online application would starts from 16th July 2018 onwards. The exam
would be conducted in the month of September.
NIACL Assistant preparation tips for English section.
This section
carries 30 marks for 30 questions. The time is composite duration for the
complete paper that is for an hour in Preliminary Exam. There is negative
marking of 0.25 marks. All the sections except the language section will be
available in both English and Hindi language. There will be sectional cut
off-too.The English
section in the Mains exam carries 40 marks for 50 questions. The time is
composite duration of 120 Minutes.

You must be
thorough with the concepts of Cloze Test, sentence improvement, spotting
errors, reading comprehension, single/double fillers, para/sentence completion

Learn basics of grammar, rules
of grammar, Tenses, Articles, Prepositions, Degrees of Comparison, Subject-Verb
Agreement, Conjunctions, Parts of Speech, Standard Construction, Adverbs,
Number in Nouns, etc.
2.
Practice with NIACL mock test series, mock
quizzes, and old question papers on daily basis.
3.
Reading comprehension is
something you must spend more time if you happen to read at a slower pace.
Practice reading passages on a daily basis and improve your pace of reading,
this will be helpful while attempting questions from this section.
4.
The questions in this section
are usually based on inferences and vocabulary, fact-based. At times, you also
be asked to draw inferences on your understanding of the passage.
5.
Solve questions on error
spotting fill in the blanks too. Develop your vocabulary by reading newspapers,
find out meanings, synonyms, antonyms and usage.
6.
Prepare flash cards with the
most frequently asked and difficult words and their meanings and usage. Make
sure you are also aware of the spelling.
